Wish this got as much attention as the same-sex marriage issue. I’m not saying, “Fuck marriage,” but not being fired is huge. And those lists are long.

The thing is, even with so-called legal protection with anti-discrimination laws people are still fired for being a sexual minority or for being trans*. Discrimination (as the law sees it) is incredibly difficult to prove and because most places have at will hiring/firing they can give just about any reason other than the real one as why they let you go/didn’t hire you. While this list points out a problem, I also believe we need to question whether anti-discrimination laws are really the solution, because anti-discrimination laws=/=an end to discrimination.
